I'd been dealing with some tendonitis from too much uphill running. My own personal overtraining aside, my Altras just weren't cutting it anymore, and seemed to actually be making the problem worse, even during rest with just casual walking. Two weeks into my issue, i was playing at the park with the kiddo and saw another dad with some of these on. I asked if he liked them, he said he loved them, so I gave them a shot. Using these, I was able to get some gentle runs in to maintain my fitness levels before a multi-day mountain trip. I was still able to perform as well as possible with these, finally feeling like I had proper support with the sticky tread and heel comfort I now required. Although I'm in recovery mode now, these were a life saver at the last minute, and I really wasn't expecting that.Have had difficulty finding shoes in my size. Took a chance on there and so happy that I did. Used them to walk around NYC and feet have not been happier. Would buy again in a heartbeatI do a lot of trail jogging and walk sometimes 10 to 12 miles.. this is exactly what I needed... Little pricey but better to invest in your feet now than later go to the doctor's office... Will get another pair eventually.I have never been given as many compliments and comments about the color of a shoe, as I have with this pair. They are YELLOW. I love them.I have large feet, so I'm somewhat limited in terms of what's available for trail runners. After cycling through various brands and styles the past few years, I've finally landed on the perfect shoe. The Cascadias are comfortable, sturdy, and tacky. They effectively handled scrambling, slabs and scree and boulder fields on a few recent long hikes, and my feet felt great after. I'll continue to buy this model for as long as they continue making it.I bought these for my first trail race, and only got 2 wears in before race day. They were everything advertised, and more. The trail consisted of single track dirt, dual track dirt/gravel, rocky/boulder-filled portions, water, and everything imaginable. I was very impressed with the way these helped me perform. Since my last race, I have even used them for softball and baseball. Will look to Cascadia when I’m in the market again.I've been running and walking in Brooks Cascadia shoes for some time, now. I tried switching to another brand a few years back, but came "running" back to the Cascadias soon afterward. These are not only comfortable for walking and running, they are also very durable.Have used them on two consecutive backpacking trips (8 total nights) carrying up to 30 pounds and feet feel great. Grip is great on both dry and wet trails and they dry quick enough to not be a bother. We'll see how they hold up long term but I'm a fan after 90 miles.Buying these were the best decision for me as my last Solamon trails were too heavy.I’m with a running club and these helped achieve a new personal best time ??Very comfortable and felt like a normal pair of running shoes. M.E. Finger Weg davon!
