Used to crack screens all the time, so once the phones got more expensive than the laptops I was sure to get the lifeproof Nuud case, which was amazing. That wore out late in phone’s life so decided to get the inferior Next case for just a few months. Immediately lost phone in crosswalk (best place to lose it, ugh) when I picked it up from the police station a ways later they said it was found face down but with all these scratches on back showing it has been run over and… the actual phone was pristine!! Wow, very impressed. So much for being a second rate case. Can’t believe it was only $15. Very impressed. Lifeproof cases forever now.The box had the holographic sticker to verify it really was Lifeproof. It fit my Iphone X and given I have always had luck with Life proof when it came to numerous with water dunks and hard drops with my phone without liability, I stay true to their capacity to protect. For the price, I bought an extra. It is a quality case and the real deal at a really good price.I've come back to edit because I decided to order a 2nd case. That one arrived as a Otter brand, not lifeproof. Although similar in appearance, the outside coating edge that takes the hit is different. I understand Otter and Lifeproof merged and the warehouse tag does indicate it is a lifeproof. It is just in the Otter box packaging.This phone case helps protect phone.I drop my phone all the time and therefore have been buying a phone case once every year. The iPhone X version is not super expensive nowadays so it’s well worth the money.Excellent case—it comes in otterbox packaging but the case is Lifeproof branded (other reviews explain why). It is the perfect mix of strong and shock proof while also allowing you to have direct contact with the screen (no screen protector). I had my first one for one year and the outside colored part broke—likely due to me constantly removing the case to switch SIM cards. It also had some sizeable falls onto concrete, gravel, sand, snow and pavement and it never cracked. In my opinion, for what you pay you get an excellent product that as long as you don’t remove your case often should last you very long. All in all, even though mine broke a year after I bought it, I still bought a second one because it was mostly user error and they are fairly cheap for how sturdy they are.I bought this case for 13 dollars, it doesn’t appear to be a knock off. It’s sleek and comfortable to hold. The buttons are raised nicely so there’s no struggle. Mesh covering on the speakers and a tight closure on the charging port. I think it’s very well worth itMy spouse got it for their 12 pro max so once I moved to my Xs I knew I should get this case. I saw the abuse it could take and was sold immediatelyThis case is great. Easy to install and very protective of my son’s cell phone. Highly recommendedI’m excited to have this case again after a couple years with the Lifeproof Frē.It’s a better feel in the hand and having access to the ACTUAL touchscreen is great. (Plus, this iPhone XS struggles with the screen cover on the Frē as the proximity sensor shuts off the screen even when I’m on a speaker or Bluetooth call.)The real trick with be relearning how to treat my phone now that it isn’t safeguarded in a full protective case...Both are great cases. It’s just a matter of what you need it to do.The first thing I noticed when I opened up my case package was how USED it looked. It had finger prints and scratches all over the back (see photos). I was honestly disappointed. Based on what I had read about LifeProof, I was expecting integrity. I genuinely believe I got a secondhand case for the price of a new one.BUT I also don’t want to give a terrible review on this one experience, if this is a one time off thing. Has anyone else experienced something similar?Case fits great and offers really good protection. Comes in plain packaging, but it's the same case.
